Alaska Epic Adventure
Join our Alaska Team this summer for an incredible adventure in southern and western Alaska, the Last Frontier. As of June 5, 2010, we have room available to join our 14 team members.
We will be traveling to Sodoltna, AK to assist Alaska Christian College in a building project during the the week of June 26-July 3, 2010, with an additional date of August 14-21, 2010. Please indicate your interest in which dates you prefer to travel.
Located within walking distance to the Kenai River, we will finish the project on the log cabin style Eskimo student counseling center, with additional work on the campus workshop, and staining and painting the dormitory rooms. No previous carpentry skills are required.
Besides the construction type work, last summer we had time to visit an Iditarod sled dog farm, climb Exit glacier, enjoy a salmon bake, take an aerial glacier tour, fish for halibut, visit a wildlife refuge, and climb Flattop Mountain.
Want to extend your trip at no further cost? We are partnering with Samaritan Purse for an incredible adventure to an Eskimo village at Hooper Bay. Located near the Bering Sea in western Alaska, we’ll be building a youth center and provide an evening ministry to local Eskimo children. In August we’ll be joining Samaritan Purse for an adventure to Lake Clark Wilderness Refuge and Tanalian Bible Camp to build two log cabins , all the while interacting with local native Alaska children.
